Make thingsthat work.

A workshop where students design, build and fix their own projects.

What students learn

3D design and modeling

Sketching an idea, then building it as a 3D model. Thinking in dimensions, proportions and parts.

Prototyping and 3D printing

Preparing a model for the printer, running the print, and comparing the result with the plan.

Solving real problems

Each project starts from something real: a broken hinge, a holder that keeps falling over. Find the cause, design the fix.

Working in a team

Projects are shared. Students split the work, explain their choices to each other, and present the result together.

ResearchDesignBuild

Design it on screen.Build it.See what breaks.Fix it.

That is a CosLAB week. An idea becomes a 3D model, the model becomes a prototype, and the prototype gets tested. Most first attempts fail somewhere. Finding out where is the point.

For grades 5 to 8

No experience with 3D software is needed. We start from the beginning and groups stay small so everyone gets time on the printer.

Seats are limited.

Ten years in, still looking up

Cosmos Team began as a student astronomy club. It grew into science programs, then into a community of young people who build things. CosLAB is the newest stop on that path.

Astronomy club

One telescope and a few students curious about the sky.

Science programs

Workshops and observation nights, open to everyone.

STEM community

Robotics, coding, and the first shared workshop space.

CosLAB

Where what is imagined gets made.

Good to know

The practical questions parents ask before they reserve a seat. If yours is not here, write to us and we will answer the same day.

How is a session run?

Groups are small, and an instructor is with them the whole time. Each session has one clear goal, such as getting a first print off the bed or fixing a part that did not fit. Students work at their own computers and take turns on the printers with the instructor.

Who teaches?

Cosmos Team instructors. The team has been running programs for students for ten years, and everyone teaching at CosLAB has both a technical background and experience working with this age group.

What do students work with?

Desktop 3D printers, computers with design software, and basic hand tools for finishing prints. Students learn how each tool works before they use it, and the printers are set up and operated with the instructor.

Does my child need experience or their own equipment?

No to both. Everything is provided, and the first weeks are designed for complete beginners. A student who has never opened a 3D program will print their first object in the first session.

How will I know how my child is doing?

Students bring their prints home as they finish them, and each term ends with a session where families see what the group built. You can reach the instructor directly with questions at any time.

How does enrollment work?

Reserve a seat below and we will send you the term dates, group options and fees. Nothing is final until you confirm. Groups fill in order of reservation.
